A quick search of my blog will show that I have a passing interest in America’s coinage. The other day I got a new nickel, which kind of surprised me, since I thought they were only doing two new ones, and those were last year.
This year they’re continuing to honor Louis and Clark’s trip across America with two more nickels. The first one this year just came out, and has a buffalo on the back. I think it’s really cool that we have a buffalo nickel again.
The next will be released later this year, and have a scene of a pine tree overlooking an ocean scene, with a phrase from their journal.
