WaYfmWaY.fm has had the same web site design for several years now.  I did the old one, and it was ok for the time, but obviously needed help.

Last spring we started working a new site, and decided to go all CSS for layout, and have a real content management system rather than just a hodgepodge of files and database calls.

We got Kedron Rhodes to do the design, and it’s really great in my opinion.  He also sliced it all up into CSS, which saved me a ton of time.

Mark Rogers put the content management system into place.  It’s something Ryan Elenbaum originally wrote, and Mark has hacked on it quite a bit.  For those who care, it’s like Brix in theory and function, with some differences.

Mike, Heather and I have been messing with content and layout for quite a while now, and we finally went live with it yesterday.  I’ve been mopping up details ever since, and I’m ready to hand it off to Mike and Heather for regular maintenance.  We’ll see how that goes.

So check it out, eh?

  1. Y’know… it’s very easy to look at a site like this and say, “Wow, this is cool.” Everything fits together nicely, it’s very professional, you’re not inundated with masses of info and links… it’s very well done. But whenever I sit down with a clean slate and try to design something like that, it always comes out looking like this. Ked, you rock. At least my database structure is clean and efficient 🙂

  2. Great job. I like the way the pictures change at the top. But then you know I don’t know that much about web design but it looked good to a web surfer.
