On Knapp, about a half block west of Fuller, is Susie’s Doughnuts And Coffee. It has a small room full of comfy looking chairs, and it also serves sandwiches, bagels, and subs. When they opened a few months ago I asked if they planned on getting wireless, and she said she was thinking about it.

A few weeks ago she said it was coming, and this morning when I went for doughnuts there was a little sign in the window that said they had 802.11b free wireless internet access.

I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I asked if it was popular and the guy said no-one had tried it yet. Sounds like connectivity should be good. 🙂

  1. Dude, you are like the WiFi Sherlock Holmes of Grand Rapids. First Picasso Joe’s, now Susie’s Donuts.

  2. I really have to give it to these small companies that try and find a spot in the market. I would love to see places like this thrive. I will try my best to visit and support stores that are looking to help the customer as well as go the extra little bit to retain some of the people that would normally go to a coffee shop like urban mill or starbucks.
