I work for Cornerstone University, and have done so now for 5 years.  In honor of that, I was given a very nice little packet with a letter from the president, and a glossy double fold sheet of Mammon, of which I could choose one thing.

The first page was a bunch of tie tacks, zipper pulls, and things like that, all with the CU logo on them.  I was a little disheartened, but then I noticed that that there were more things on the next pages.  There on page I saw it.  The thing I’m going to get.  The instant I saw it, I knew without a doubt that I must have it.

The CU Beer SteinThe Cornerstone University logo’d beer stein.  Yeah baby!

I didn’t go for the Cornerstone University logo’d "shooter glass".

I know they just signed with a company that sticks logos on everything, but I still think it’s wildy funny that I can get a logo’d beer stein from a conservative baptist institution.

On that note, I’ve really enjoyed my time here, and fully intend to stay on.

  1. I will stay around 5 years, just for that. I hope they don’t pull that item from their listings. πŸ™‚ That’s awesome! πŸ™‚ 4 more years, baby! Though, it might be a tough decision over the “shooter glass” lol – I think Dave’s suggestion would be great too.

  2. Ha! That’s too funny.
I did *exactly* the same thing last Friday!
Yes, I knew from the moment I saw it that I must have it. Well, OK, I *did* consider the shooter glass for half a second.
    Yeah. That is _awesome_.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one. :^)

P.S. – I want a keg for my 10th year gift, nothing less.

  3. I got one of those fun catalogs too! (I just finished my 5 year) we had a lot of laughs about the beer stien, though I went for the ambassador Pen

  4. And just imagine what bounty awaits Vicki and I next year – for our 20th year. A C-stone bar set? The mind boggles. πŸ˜€

    5 years… rookies. ;-D
