FULL DISCLOSURE: I have not read this book.
Why then am I doing a review? Because I’m not reviewing the quality of the writing, but rather the innovation behind it.
You can read about it more here, but let me clue you in.
It’s a kids story about saving the forests and working together. The illustrations are most excellent, done by the author himself. The most excellent part is that there are clues hidden in the book as to the locations of 12 gold tokens hidden around the United States. If you find one of these tokens, it will have instructions on how to redeem it. The prize is a jeweled ornament, similar to critters in the story, and the twelve of them are worth more than $1M.
That’s really cool. Not so much for the money, but for the excitement of the hunt.
