Sean Egan, of gaim fame, has started a new blog to chronicle gami development. What caught my eye in his first post was gaim-text, a text based version of gaim using what looks like ncurses. I’ve used naim before, and I know centericq can do all the protocols, but this would be really sweet.

So, what is this fascination with text-based stuff? Efficiency? Dislike of the artistic? Enjoy typing?
Gui is good, gooey is yummy. My Gnome icons are pretty, and so is Gaim 2.
That’s an excellent question, one worthy of a post unto itself. 🙂
