Our girls usually start getting ready for bed at about 8. They get their own jammies on, brush their teeth by themselves, and then I read to them for 20 min or so and they hit the sack.
Tonight at about 7:30 they came down from their playroom and said "Dad? Is it bedtime yet? Because we’re tired."
I said "Sure, get your jammies on and brush your teeth". They let me know when they were done, and I read to them and away they went, by 8pm. Not too shabby.
We’re reading Trumpet Of The Swan by the way.
Awesome and sweet! Just what a Grandparent likes to read. Of course they are always “perfect” in a grandparent’s eye. 🙂
They’re also perfect in most everyone else’s eyes too, I think.
Oh for that day…….
My kids are 13 and 16…
I miss those days 🙂
