As noted in this post, I love very old color photography. The nice folks over at Woot linked to a great archive of photos of America taken before World War II.
They use the new Kodachrome film, each roll costs $5, which took 20 hours of work at minimum wage to afford. It also had to be mailed to Rochester New York for development.
The person who put the site together does a fantastic job of describing each photo as well.

Cool pictures. Reminds me of ones my mom took. She has an Argus 35mm and got slides made up. If we ran them fast enough we could go to the movies! 🙂
