Every year the Frederick Meijer Gardens has a butterfly “event”. They get hundreds of cacoons and then let them hatch in the largest glass house and you can go right in an walk amongst them. It’s very cool.
Every year I try to take amazing pictures, and generally fail. I realized just yesterday it’s because I didn’t know how to use the close-up option on my camera. 🙁 Ah well, there’s always next year. We went yesterday though, and there were still some butterflies, so I got some nice shots, which you can see near the end of the gallery.
Near the end of the gallery is a photo of an Owl Butterfly. While I was taking its picture, another landed on me, and little Sophi got a GREAT picture of it.
oooooooooo!
i wanna go there.
