We’re at the hospital today, and I got to see my mom. She’s mostly unconcious due to the pain meds. her eyes open, but she looks straight ahead. We’re not sure if she knows we’re here or not.
I learned that they took out the part of her brain that controls speech, so she may never speak again. We’ll just have to see.
Our whole immediate family is here today, which is good. A particular blessing is that Mom’s sister came to visit from France about three days before surgery, and they got to talk deep about books and kids and life and everything. It was a previously planned visit too, so there was no undue financial stress on them.
Please keep praying.
Hey Toph,
Please know that we are indeed praying for you, your family, your dad specifically.
I’m thinking about you and praying for you. I don’t really know what to hope for precisely, but I hope things go as well as they can.
It was great to see you and Cate at the conference; Too short as usual. Please know that I’m thinking and praying for you and your family.
