A friend’s blog post about little girl prayers reminded me of one from my youngest years ago.
She was about 4 then I think. At prayer time she’s usually laying in bed and I kneel next to her bed, and typically put one arm under her neck to cuddle her while she prays. This particular night she prayed:
“Dear God, thank you for a fun day, please help tomorrow to be really fun too, thank you for letting us go to the park, and please help Daddy not to pull my hair when I pray like he is right now.”
At that point I adjusted my arm.
