Today my daughters were talking about a cake they saw on Cake Boss, and my wife said “Often weddings are more about the family, and less about the people actually getting married”.
My youngest then said “Really? I thought they were all about the cake”.
I find both perspectives interesting.
Re: Cate’s comment: I completely agree! Especially the reception. The guests always have a better time than the bride and groom. For us, the whole thing was a blur.
I totally agree. It’s honestly the only reason I go to weddings and everybody knows it. If the cake is nasty, I hold a grudge like forever.
