My Mom has been getting a tiny bit better every day since my last post. The other day they took out her feeding tube, and she was able to chew and swallow. She didn’t quite get it though, and wanted to chew everything, even water. They considered putting the tube back in, but she’s gotten better at it. The other night my Dad was able to feed her a bowl of ice cream.
She’s talking more now too, using whole sentences. My Dad told he was going home for the day and would be back tomorrow, and she said “Maybe I’ll be going home tomorrow”.
They had hoped to do an MRI last night as a checkup. They were short staffed though, so it might happen today instead.
