Several military groups have designed some very cool light-weight wings for humans to wear on their backs, and glide. They’re purported to be completely silent, and can hold supplies inside the wings. There’s even talk of some small rockets on the back, to increase range.

I can’t even begin to describe how wildly cool that would be.
