A few years back, johnny 5 and I became enamored with WAP (Wireless Application Protocol), which uses WML (WAP Markup Language, an XML subset) to distribute content on wireless devices, typically cell phones.
John was rich/geeky enough at the time to buy a cell phone that handled it, but I was not so fortunate. So I went out looking for [‘sim’,’em’]ulators, and found a good one at a place that has since changed its name to Openwave.
They’ve actually expanded it to a whole SDK now, and it simulates a wide variety of phones. You can find their SDK here.
WAP is one of those technologies based on good tech (XML) and Free, so why not develop for it?
Mostly because I’m busy.

And that pretty much says it all right there 😛
