What are you going to do with your economic stimulus check?
We’re going to pay down our car loan, we’re close enough to the end of it that it’ll knock out a high percentage of the principle.
Leave a comment if you don’t care about everyone knowing, even if you don’t know yet what you’ll do with it.
Paying off a loan, which is pretty much not going to stimulate the economy.
I’m going to see IRONMAN over and over! Oh, that’s right, I get the tickets free! Well, since I get movie tickets free, I guess I’ll just put in on the car I just bought, or the toward the insurance on it!
I will either use it to pay the mortgage payment or remodel the basement. Whichever comes first.
Bill,
Since you get free tickets you can use your check for the popcorn. 😉
A new fridge. We need one.
Use it as a nest egg to start saving toward some house repairs, including a bathroom refurb that’s WAAY overdue.
I want to purchase a kayak, I will more than likely put it toward my student loans, which as previously mentioned will not stimulate the economy, but it will stimulate my debt-free ideal.
Notice, when you post a question about other people, you get loads of comments, because everyone wants to talk about themselves. 😉
I want to save our stimulus check and put it toward a down payment on a house someday, but apparently that won’t help the economy. I foresee that we will either buy a digital TV or spend it in car repairs. =(
Hm…
I was planning on putting the money towards a trip to Nashville… but as my car is having issues, it’ll probably just go into the car instead.
Hopefully all those mechanics out there will do something to stimulate the economy… because they are making people like me pretty poor.
my pastor challenged us to see it as income last Sunday, and see where we could plug it into “stimulating” the bottom line of the less fortunate… since we’re currently in pretty decent shape, that makes good sense to me. So, a chunk will probably go toward a worthy cause… the rest, well… we have a perpetually ongoing basement renovation that seems to stall out — mainly because this DIYer finds little time to do-it-hiz-self! Funds to skilled folks seems to work much faster in getting something done…
