A couple years ago I posted about one of the moons of Saturn, Enceladus. It’s quite a small moon, but for reasons they don’t understand, there’s a steady stream of ice jetting out into space. This makes for some spectacular pictures, and wonderfully interesting science. Today’s Astronomy Picture Of The Day shows how Enceladus is singlehandedly responsible for Saturn’s E ring.
