What a week. Sharathon is hard to describe. It’s sort of like a PBS telethon thing, but not quite. For you Gospelcom people, it has the same sort of impact on the organization, with everything being put on hold for a week, and a whirlwind of activity interrupting pockets of sleep.
We didn’t make our goal of $1.25m, but as I write this 20 minutes after close (they’re still talking about stuff on the air), we have $1,175,681.00. I suspect we’ll make the 1.25 in the next week or so, there are always people who call in, send stuff, etc.
I really should have been writing all week, since I don’t remember much of the week. Ah well. Today we clean up, and tomorrow morning we’re having a free pancake breakfast here at Cornerstone. Stop by, we’ll be running from about 8 to about 11, I think.
Then tomorrow night we have the staff banquet. Then sunday (maybe) we go back up north and get our kids. We got up at 5 am on thursday and ran up to drop them off.
I think that’s all I have to say. Maybe monday will be back to normal. 🙂
